Shiftleader

As a Shift Leader you are responsible for;

  • The team and you manage the bar staff and runners during a shift.
  • You are a motivator of the team and you strive for an optimal atmosphere among each other.
  • You take care of the cash register during opening and closing according to the procedure.
  • It is your job that the quality of service and product is offered by the staff.
  • You ensure that work is done effectively and efficiently and you keep a sharp eye on improvements in the business process.
  • You are the point of contact for questions/complaints or problems from guests and colleagues.

This is you:

  • You are 20 years or older;
  • High degree of drink knowledge;
  • Living in the Amsterdam area;
  • You have work experience within various catering companies and with managing a team of mainly young employees;
  • Good in Dutch and English; in word and in writing;
  • A strong sense of responsibility and you are a natural leader;
  • Analytical ability and thinks in solutions;
  • Furthermore, you consider hospitality to be of paramount importance, you are social and you ensure order and tidiness;

Bartender

What we expect from you:

  • We are looking for a real hospitality person who has good hospitality skills and a hospitable and exible attitude. you have a 'don't talk, just brush' mentality;
  • You know how to tackle and work independently behind the bar. You do this quickly and accurately. You keep an overview and see what is happening around you. Yet you remain hospitable and friendly, even when it is busy;
  • You can work at least 2 shifts per week. You are also flexible in your working hours. These will also regularly be in the evenings and at weekends (varying working hours; unfortunately only working during the day or during the week is not an option);
  • You are sociable and you like the atmosphere that characterizes the hospitality industry; In short, we are looking for someone who likes to work hard at busy times, but also likes to have fun in the workplace.

This is you:

  • You are 18 years or older;
  • You live in the Amsterdam area;
  • You preferably have catering experience and some alcohol knowledge, but this is not required;
  • You are socially strong (you know how to give guests a nice evening);
  • You have a sense of responsibility;
  • You can work hard with a smile;
  • You like to work in a team;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English language;

  • You enjoy chatting with guests at quiet times, but you also know when to pound during busy times. Collegiality, hospitality and pleasure in your work are our top priorities.
  • As a runner you are responsible for the atmosphere and ambiance in the room. You bring the glassware to the right bars and provide the stands with their plates or shelves. You also ensure that all tables are clean, candles are burning and you are the first point of contact for guests.

  • You have work experience and/or affinity with the hospitality industry;

  • The preparatory activities such as washing, cutting, (pre)cooking, mixing/stirring are prepared in accordance with (work) instructions;
  • The (preparation) preparation of dishes or dish parts is carried out under supervision or independently according to the (work) instructions;
  • Carrying out the preparations, thereby monitoring/checking the quality, doneness, taste, colour, fluidity, etc. and, if necessary, adjusting/additional dosages;
  • The quality of the ingredients used has been carefully assessed for freshness, quality and shelf life;
  • Controlling and justifying the quantities of products consumed (avoiding waste).

This is what we expect from you:

  • Coordinating / arranging the execution of the work between the kitchen and service;
  • The (pre) preparation process in the kitchen is efficiently and effectively managed and carried out in accordance with the quality, instructions and working methods established with the Chef;
  • Monitoring the responsible use of products (prevent waste);
  • Contributing to changes to the menu and to the development, testing and elaboration of (new) recipes;
  • Assisting the chef with tasks such as price calculation menu;
  • Receiving and handling questions, complaints, problems, etc.; in the event of major problems, engage the manager or General Manager.
  • Supervising apprentice chefs, trainees and other (new) employees.
